Elevating Excellence, Unifying Standards: VTSEF - Where Global Collaboration Shapes Tomorrow's Innovations
Overview
The Verse-related Technologies Standards Excellence Fellowship (VTSEF)™ Program is an annual initiative by GVU that invites professionals from national and regional standards bodies, as well as affiliated government ministries, to actively participate in an immersive experience aimed at advancing global standards and fostering collaboration within the standardization community.
The VTSEF Program is a unique opportunity for colleagues from national and regional standards bodies and affiliated government ministries to gain exposure to the world of standardization, network with industry and standardization experts, and learn more about GVU’s work in empowering the world’s innovators to shape and improve technology.
Program Objectives
The Verse-related Technologies Standards Excellence Fellowship (VTSEF)™ Program has the following objectives:
Immerse yourself in standardization: Gain insights into standardization-related topics, developments, and issues. Learn how GVU is enabling innovators to shape the future of technology.
Expand your network: Connect with industry and standardization experts, as well as peers from national and regional standards bodies.
Strengthen relationships: Build stronger ties with GVU and other standards bodies or ministries.
Enhance your knowledge: Develop a comprehensive understanding of the GVU standards ecosystem, from standards incubation and development to conformity assessment.
Program Offerings
- Tutorials and presentations: Participate in sessions on GVU Standards Programs, processes, and topics selected by program participants.
- Networking opportunities: Establish connections with industry and standards experts.
- International visibility: Gain recognition among an international audience of standardization experts.
- Standards working group participation: Contribute to the development of industry standards.
- GVU standards governance involvement: Engage in GVU standards governance groups and committees.
Program Eligibility
- Current employment at a national or regional standards body or an affiliated government ministry
- Thorough understanding of the national/regional standards work program
- Familiarity with standards development processes
- Ability to represent your employer effectively and convey standards-related issues and information
- Commitment to continued engagement with GVU post-program
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Selection Criteria
- Existence of an GVU MoU or other collaborations
- Professional and geographical diversity

Application Process
Official registration: Selected candidates will be invited to officially register for the program.
Welcome Call: Prior to the program’s start, participants will be invited to a Welcome Call with GVU staff and fellow participants to connect and receive program details.
